This might not always be the reason, but if this “IS” then you need to fix the defrost control board or sensors or get them changed.
2. A Clogged drain line
The clogged drain line in your refrigerator might also be the cause of ice formation on the evaporation coil.
A clogged drain line will cause trouble with the water accumulation in the drain line and water overflowing.

The condensation of water on the evaporating coils will lead to the evaporator fan, frosted and jammed.

The recommended way is to use a vacuum cleaner that will suck the dust out of those narrow holes. You can also use a damp cloth to clean the coils as well.

5. Bad condenser Fans Or Fan Motor
If cleaning the condenser coils doesn’t do the job, then there must be a faulty condenser fan.
The condenser fan motor drives the condensation process in your refrigerators. Thus, if the fans or the motor is obstructed or not working properly, the fridge will not cool.
Fix-It Up
Condenser fans can be tuned up by some easy techniques.
Plug out the power supply if you don’t want an electric shock!
Find the condenser fan, it is usually placed behind the fridge bracket. Use your hands to move it. If the fan moves easily, it means there is no issue with the fan but the motor might be damaged or faulty.
